Boneo Buzz – Friday 8th November

Dear Parents and Carers,

Yesterday we gathered to celebrate one of the most anticipated events on the Boneo Primary School calendar—Oaks Day. This occasion has become a cherished symbol of style and elegance, providing a wonderful opportunity to support our school in a vibrant and exciting way. There’s a unique charm to our Oaks Day that makes it an unforgettable annual tradition.

I am also thrilled that this event engages our entire community—families, staff, local residents, and a wide array of generous local businesses. This collaborative effort fosters a strong sense of unity, belonging, and shared purpose, and we are deeply grateful for everyone’s contributions. Oaks Day is a vital fundraising event for our school, and I am deeply grateful to everyone who was able to contribute. As you know, we are committed to offering exceptional learning experiences for our students and this fundraising enables us to support programs and initiatives. The funds raised will allow us to purchase resources for our students.

Thanks to your amazing support, we’re excited to share that we raised an outstanding $7 000, during the Oaks Day festivities! This accomplishment was only possible because of our dedicated community, and we are truly grateful for your commitment to our school.

Friday Lunches

Our School Council has been busily working behind the scenes investigating the students’ request of ‘Special Lunches’, from an external provider, and I am very excited to announce that we will be trialling a local option from next week. Donna Oehm, from Stir Crazy Kids, has been liaising with the school and will ‘trial’ a special lunch option every Friday for the remainder of this term. Lunches are ordered via an app and will be produced in the Shire Hall. Please see the instructions below for the app, how to create an account and a copy of the menu. A special mention to Briell O’Neil for all of her work in this space.
