Boneo Buzz: 2nd August
Dear Parents and Carers,
Tom and I were appreciative of the warm acknowledgement from staff, students and parents for National Principal Day today. We are so thankful that we have the privilege of being a part of this amazing community. Seeing our students achieve through the teaching and learning program led by our dedicated staff, brings us so much happiness every day.
Thank you also to all families who attended the Student Led Conferences this week. Your ongoing support is very much appreciated.

Snapshot of Learning
Wellbeing Friday
Our Year 6 students have successfully relaunched our Wellbeing Friday afternoons with adjustments made based on feedback from the students and teachers. Each week, the Year 6 students gather the whole school into their Wellbeing groups and organise both inside and outside activities designed to promote positive wellbeing, social collaboration and teamwork, and a sense of community. The students have done an amazing job of stepping up and being leaders of our school!

Prep Excursion to Willum Warrain Community Centre
On Monday, despite some trying weather conditions, our enthusiastic Prep students had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Willum Warrain Indigenous Centre for a First Nations cultural immersion session. The visit was filled with engaging activities that introduced the young learners to the rich traditions and heritage of Australia’s First Nations peoples. The students enjoyed learning about Indigenous art, bush tucker, and storytelling, and participated in interactive sessions that highlighted the importance of connection to the land and community. The experience was both educational and fun, leaving the students with a deeper appreciation and respect for Indigenous culture. Thank you to all the teachers and support staff who attended to make the day special for the students.

Year 1 Phonics
The Year 1 students have opened the doors on a Friday morning for a combined ‘Fun Phonics Friday!’ Students have the opportunity to engage in a range of phonics-based learning tasks.

An Inquiry into Community through Collaboration!
The Year 1 students have been Inquiring into community through collaborative play and art. Check out some of these amazing collaborations!

Stop in the Name of the Law!
