Boneo Buzz 2nd April

Dear Parents and Carers,

As Term 1 draws to a close, I’d like to thank our wonderful school community for such a strong and positive term.

To our students, we are so proud of the energy, persistence and enthusiasm you have brought to your learning. It has been a joy to see our classrooms buzzing with curiosity, confidence and an increased determination as the term has progressed. It’s amazing to think our Prep students are nearly at the end of their very first term at school. They’ve settled in beautifully and are making wonderful progress.

To our families, thank you for your continued support and partnership. The encouragement and connection you provide at home makes a meaningful difference, and we truly value the strong relationships we have built together. Learning Tasks are available on Compass for you to have a look at. Please take some time to go through them and discuss the learning with your child/ren.

To our staff, I extend my sincere appreciation for your dedication, care and professionalism. The commitment you show each day to creating engaging learning experiences and supporting every student to succeed is deeply valued.

I hope the holiday break offers a chance to rest, recharge and enjoy time with loved ones. I look forward to welcoming everyone back, refreshed and ready for another great term ahead on Monday 20 April.

Congratulations to Archer D

We would like to congratulate Archer on proudly representing Boneo Primary School at the Regional Swimming Competition this week. Archer performed exceptionally well, demonstrating great determination and skill throughout the event. We are incredibly proud of his efforts and the way he represented our school.

Well done!

Special Lunch winners

Congratulations to Airlie and Woody who won the Special Lunch Boneo Buck and enjoyed a fresh Sushi lunch.

Supporting Children’s Wellbeing Over the Holidays

With the school holidays approaching, it’s helpful to remember that changes in routine can feel exciting for some children and a little unsettling for others. Without the structure of the school day, some kids may need extra reassurance, predictable moments, and gentle guidance.

Families can support children by keeping a few simple routines in place—regular sleep times, opportunities for outdoor play, and calm moments together each day. These small anchors help children feel secure when their usual school rhythm pauses.

A smooth transition into the holidays helps children return to school feeling settled, confident, and ready for the term ahead. Further resources for parents and carers

ANZAC Day and Grandparent’s / Special Friend Morning
The Rosebud RSL will be hosting the ANZAC Day March on Saturday 25th April. The march will commence at 9:30am from the corner of Point Nepean Road and Ninth Avenue and head to the Rosebud Cenotaph on the Corner of Jetty and Point Nepean Roads. This will be followed by the main ANZAC Day Service.
We invite our students and families to join us to represent our community at the ANZAC Service. Our School Captains will be laying a wreath on our behalf, and it would be wonderful to support them by attending as a community.
Our upcoming annual ANZAC/Grandparent, Special Friend Assembly will be held on Friday 24th April. The service will commence at 9am and will be followed by a visit to classes and morning tea in the Boneo Hall. It is always a special occasion, and I hope many of you will be able to join us.

Boneo Community Market – 18 April

Thank you to those of you who have already volunteered for Car Parking Duty on 18 April. We still require volunteers so if you are able to help with this, please sign in on Compass under conferences.
