Boneo Buzz: 29th April

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been so exciting to welcome back our community to Term 2. On Monday, we were thrilled to have families attend either the Rosebud or Rye ANZAC Day march and service. Our school leaders did an outstanding job representing the school.

Over the holidays, we had an amazing team of parents and staff who volunteered to run the Boneo Market. A huge thank you for your outstanding efforts to raise money for our students. A particular thank you to Freddie and Lelo for running around the market buying extra supplies.

My heart was full today, we christened our new purpose-built basketball cover by hosting grandparents and special friends at our annual ANZAC Assembly and Grandparent Special Friend Day. Words fail to adequately describe how amazing it was to welcome so many visitors, including one grandparent all the way from Zimbabwe. Our children are so fortunate to have such a broad and close network of support. Our school leaders did an exceptional job of designing and delivering a respectful, heartfelt tribute to service men and women.

A huge thank you to Kath Bowtell for once again cooking hundreds of scones for our morning tea, and to the wonderful parents who assisted with preparing them.

The outdoor kitchen is finally ready for family and friends to join us for weekly cooking.
