Boneo Buzz: 23rd March

Dear Parents and Carers,

Congratulations to our Year 3 and Year 5 students who have almost completed their NAPLAN testing. Results will be shared with families as they become available.

Our Year 6 students are having a wonderful time at camp. Students have had the opportunity to participate in a range of activities and enjoy the many wonderful walks Wilsons Promontory has to offer. Feedback about the opportunity to camp in tents has been exceptionally positive. We are looking forward to hearing about their adventures when they return tomorrow afternoon. A message will be sent via Compass closer to their arrival time.

I invite prospective 2024 Prep parents to attend an information session on Tuesday. There will be a session at 9-10am and another at 5-6pm. If you would like to attend, please call through to the office.

There is certainly a ‘buzz’ in the air for our Family Food & Fun Night which is on tomorrow. Please see information below. I look forward to you joining us for a fantastic evening. Don’t forget tomorrow is a free dress day for a lucky jar donation.

Our Family Food & Fun Night is almost here! A big thank you to the parents who have donated their time to assist with preparations for this major fundraising event.

It is a huge undertaking, but all worthwhile to see our community come together and enjoy the festivities.

Our business community have again been amazing in their support of our school. We wish to acknowledge the following businesses for their major support of this event.

‘The Kitchen’ in Tootgarook (Coley Family) who are returning for another year on the Curry Stall. Bob and his staff are preparing the food and will be in attendance on the night for service. Please be sure to say hi to the ‘Kitchen’ team and thank them for supporting our school.

The ever popular ‘Pony Rides’ will also be back. Jodi and Aaron Neary of ‘The Ranch’ will be running the rides again for 2023. We truly appreciate the time and planning it takes to coordinate the transporting of animals and equipment for the event, running the rides and then doing it all over again for the trip home. Enormous effort!

We are welcoming a new band this year. Brad Hillbrick and his band the ‘Shaggy Greens’ will be entertaining us from 5.30pm on the oval. Grab your picnic blanket, dinner, gather with friends and enjoy the music.

Ride tickets are available for purchase from the office until 2pm on Friday, and from 3.30pm at the hall once the event starts.

A reminder that all students must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event.

Don’t forget to bring cash in smaller denominations for the stalls.

EFTPOS will be available for the purchase of ride tickets and auction items.

Cultural Diversity – Year 3
