Boneo Buzz 11th September
Dear Parents and Carers,
We had lots to celebrate at our assembly this morning, beginning with a very special visit from members of the Rosebud-Rye Rotary Club.
We are incredibly grateful for their generous $30,000 donation to Boneo Primary School to support our SPARK Program. Ms Gunn and Kieran have worked exceptionally hard to develop and create a range of fantastic opportunities for our students through SPARK, encouraging them to be curious, creative, innovative and to apply their thinking in varied contexts.
This generous donation has been put toward purchasing a range of new equipment that will support the continuation of our program, providing even more opportunities for our students to learn, explore, create, problem-solve and bring their ideas to life.
We sincerely thank the Rosebud-Rye Rotary Club for believing in our students and investing in their learning. Community partnerships such as this make a real difference to the opportunities we provide our students at Boneo.
Celebrating Attendance
We also celebrated student attendance at our assembly. We know that regular attendance is an important part of student success. Being at school each day, where possible, provides students with the opportunity to learn, build relationships, participate in school life and make the most of the many opportunities available to them.
This week, we recognised students who achieved 95–99% attendance in Term 3, as well as those who achieved the fantastic milestone of 100% attendance!!
These students were recognised at today’s assembly, and we are very proud of the commitment and determination they have shown.
Congratulations to all of our students recognised for their Term 3 attendance. Their names are listed below.
Year 6 Production of Aladdin Jnr
What an incredible performance from our Year 6 students in this year’s production of Aladdin Jnr!
Our students were absolutely amazing. From the moment they stepped onto the stage, they captivated the audience with their confidence, energy, enthusiasm and incredible performances. There was plenty of laughter, wonderful singing and dancing, and so many moments that brought genuine joy to everyone watching.
It was wonderful to see our Year 6 students working together as a team, supporting one another and embracing every part of the production. They should be incredibly proud of what they achieved.
A very special thank you to Ms Sison, who worked tirelessly to bring the entire production together. Her creativity, dedication and commitment have been outstanding, and the final performance was a wonderful reflection of the time and care she invested in our students.
Thank you also to Mr Rischitelli for his wonderful support throughout the production, and to our Year 6 teachers, Ms Richardson and Ms Young, for supporting our students every step of the way.
Most importantly, congratulations to our Year 6 students. You entertained us, made us laugh and filled the room with so much joy. What a wonderful memory you have created for yourselves and for our whole school community.
We are incredibly proud of you all!
Our First-Ever Boneo Barn Dance
What a fantastic night we had at our first-ever Boneo Barn Dance! It was wonderful to see so many of our families and staff come together for an evening of dancing, laughter and fun.
The atmosphere was fantastic, and it was a wonderful opportunity for our school community to connect outside of the school day. A huge thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, helped with the organisation and contributed to making the evening such a success. Our hardworking School Council are very much appreciated for their ongoing work and commitment to supporting our school in many ways.
We are also thrilled to share that the Barn Dance raised an incredible $2,067 for our school. This is a fantastic result and will directly support our teaching and learning programs for our students.
Thank you to everyone who helped make our first Boneo Barn Dance such a memorable night.

A Very Big Thank You to the Rotary Club of Rosebud-Rye!
A huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Rosebud-Rye from everyone at Boneo Primary School for your incredibly generous support of our SPARK Centre.
Your donation has helped us bring some incredible new technology into our school, including laptops, VR headsets, a 3D printer, arcade controllers, interactive screens and our fantastic new Robosen robots.
These resources are going to make such a difference to our students. They will give us opportunities to continue to be creative, design and build, solve problems, learn new skills, work together and explore technology in exciting and innovative ways.
Our SPARK Leaders are especially excited to help other students learn how to use the new equipment and share all the amazing things we can create with it. We are already dreaming up lots of exciting projects!
We are so grateful that the Rotary Club of Rosebud-Rye has chosen to invest in our students and their learning. Your generosity is helping us create a SPARK Centre where students can imagine, create, experiment, collaborate and, most importantly, have fun while learning.
From Kieran and I, our SPARK Leaders and the whole Boneo Primary School community, thank you so much for believing in our students and helping us bring their ideas to life!
We can’t wait to show you what we create!
