Boneo Buzz: Friday 1st April

Dear Parents and Carers,

It is hard to believe that we are heading into our final week of Term 1. Staff welcome the opportunity to meet and share student progress at Parent Teacher Interviews next week. Interviews are online via Zoom and staff will share the Zoom link prior to interviews on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Parent-teacher interviews give you a great opportunity to:

learn more about your child’s academic, emotional and social development
meet and get to know your child’s teachers
help your child’s teachers understand more about your child
make plans with the teacher about how you can both support your child/ren

If you don’t have any particular concerns, you might wonder whether it’s worth going to parent-teacher interviews. But going along is one way to show your child that you’re interested in their learning and what’s happening for them at school.

If you are unable to attend please contact your child/ren’s teacher and schedule an alternate time.

Summer Lightning Premiership

We are so proud of our students in Years 5 and 6 who represented Boneo at the Summer Lightning Premiership. Many students in Year 4 also stepped up to fill teams as some Year 6 students were in isolation. I have been inundated with feedback from parents and included just some of the gorgeous messages. As a community we can be so proud of the young people we are nurturing.

‘The main point of my email is to highlight what a beautiful, well mannered, and respectful group of kids we had today. The encouragement shown to each other between games, was heart-warming to see, and the respect shown to us parents and the officials really stood out. They were all so well presented, and respectful of their surrounds with rubbish etc and I cannot talk highly enough of all of them’.

‘I think they really deserve for you to know how incredible everyone was today.’

‘I just wanted to let you know you should be so proud of all the Boneo teams that played today; they showed great sportsmanship.’

Intention to Enrol – Prep 2023

If you have a child due to commence school in 2023, please complete an ‘Intention to Enrol’ form, available from the office.
