Boneo Buzz – Friday 17th December
Pear Parents and Gurdians,
It is hard to believe that another school year full of twists and turns has passed so quickly. Despite the COVID restrictions, it has been a rewarding year – one filled with outstanding accomplishments.
At Boneo Primary School, we are very fortunate to have a dedicated, caring and hardworking team of professionals who work together to ensure that every child has the best educational experience possible. Staff always go above and beyond to ensure that students are exposed to a variety of experiences to enhance and enrich their learning. This year in particular, staff put aside their own worries and anxieties to ensure that our students had a safe, predictable and fun school experience.
With the outstanding support of our parent community, staff and students adjusted to rapidly changing Health Orders, while maintaining a sense of routine, structure and connectedness for students. A big thanks goes out to all parents for trusting us to do everything possible to keep your children learning.
Our students deserve recognition for their passion for learning, as well as their resilience. Our students gave teachers a sense of joy, purpose and positivity through challenging times. Despite the ups and downs of the year, the Boneo community managed to maintain a strong sense of connectedness and sustained caring and supportive relationships. Our students’ incredible achievements this year is a timeless reminder that young people can thrive, no matter the circumstances, if they are part of a dynamic, caring and resilient community. Now, more than ever, we need to support our young people as they navigate the twists and turns of what life throws at them.
My heartfelt gratitude for the contribution of each and every member of the 2021 School Council who have met regularly to discuss important matters pertaining to the running of the school. It is wonderful to have such a supportive and united School Council team who have the school’s best interests at heart.
I wish everyone a safe and joyous break with family and friends and look forward to what 2022 will bring!
A message from Assistant Principal, Marija Pandza
Thank you for a wonderful and productive school year. We certainly faced a number of challenges, and I can’t thank everyone enough for the endless hours of doing whatever was necessary to support students—both at home and at school – to add to our students’ already rich school experience.
That experience could not occur without the endless energy, skills and devotion of the Boneo Primary staff. Thank you and well done to an incredible group of professionals.
A final word to our Boneo Primary students: Thank you for all your hard work throughout the school year. I am so honoured to be your Assistant Principal; you make me proud to be a part of our school. You keep me laughing and young at heart. I am grateful for your joy, astute insights and amazing talents.
Sincere best wishes to our graduating students, and to our families and staff who are leaving Boneo at the end of this year.
I wish everyone a safe and happy summer break.
Respectfully,
Marija Pandza

Community Support
We are so blessed to have such strong community support.
- Through the Golf Day earlier in the year we have now purchased a purpose built new trailer for our beach program.
- Our Year 6 students received so many generous scholarships from over ten local organisations.
- New Peninsula Community Care donated ten Christmas Coles gift vouchers for families in need.
On behalf of our community, I thank everyone for their generosity.
