Boneo Buzz: 8th September
Dear Parents and Carers,
We have exciting news to share with you as we are now just one week away from the third-term break and our Year 6 Production of “Madagascar.” We have some important reminders and invitations for you:
Year 6 Production of Madagascar
The Year 6 Production of “Madagascar” is fast approaching, and we are eagerly looking forward to the upcoming performances. To ensure everything runs smoothly, we kindly remind parents to approve their child’s attendance via Compass for the rehearsal sessions. Your support in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Footy Day Fun – Friday
Mark your calendars for next Friday, September 15th because it’s Footy Day! We invite all parents to join in the fun on this special day.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
- Morning Coffee and Donuts – Enjoy a delicious coffee from the coffee van at drop-off in the morning, and don’t forget to treat yourself to a donut to start your day off right.
- Sausage Sizzle– We need parent helpers to cook sausages for the children. Your assistance in making this day memorable for our students is invaluable. Please consider volunteering your time to help out at 11:15. We plan to start serving the children in class groups from 12:30.
The program after recess will see us serving the children while they sit in class groups watching the Staff v Year 6 match.
11:15 Footy Assembly (Whole School) including staff kick for goal comp, students kick for goal presentations and Footy Colours Day House winners announced.
12:45 Staff v Year 6 students – 2 x 10 minute halves (whole school will watch with their lunch and sausage)

Oaks Day
Save the Date! Our Oaks Day major fundraising event is being held at ‘The National’ Cape Schanck on Thursday 9th November.
Tickets will be released for sale from Monday 2nd October at 9am from the school office. We have kept the ticket price at $90 per person, this includes a two course meal & complimentary drink on arrival.
Spread the word and start gathering and start gathering a table in support of our school. Our promotional material will be shared soon…keep an eye out.
Car Parking Reminder
To ensure student safety, we are again appealing for all parents to follow parking regulations during school hours.
The gravel area on Limestone Road is a bus zone and parking is not permitted in this area at school drop off, pick up or during the day. This is not a ‘Kiss and Go’ zone.
We also have several families who require access to the permitted parking areas on Limestone Road, near the Hall and in front of the playground. Several times we have been called out to check these areas to find cars not displaying a permit. Please keep these areas free at all times.
Entry to the school carpark is via the Boneo Road entry, with one way traffic, exiting via Limestone Road. Please do not pull into the staff car park area to drop off or pick up, double park in the driveway area blocking the road way or stop in the driveway to allow students to embark/disembark.
Students should not be walking through parking areas.
School ‘Colour’ Fun Run
We are excited to announce that we will be holding the School Fun Run again this year! Our Fun Run date will be on Friday 17th November.
Fundraising Packs are being sent home with students today. Please check with your child/ren that they have received this material.
We hope you’ll support our school and students in fundraising. As previously shared all fundraising this year is directed to cover the $92 000 cost of the Ninja Course. We really need your support to cover the $32 000 deficit so far.
