Boneo Buzz: 6th April

Dear Parents and Carers,

The end of term has arrived incredibly quickly, and I wish to thank each and every one of you for your connection to our school and for the commitment and hard work you show every day in supporting your children to be ready for learning.

I personally wish to thank you all for your support, and the trust placed in me to continue leading the school in Mandy’s absence. Testament to Mandy’s leadership, we were able to come together as a staff to keep the momentum and vision for our school operating at the same high level of expectation as always.

We have seen many significant accomplishments this term of which we can all be very proud. Our Prep students beginning their schooling and settling so well into their learning spaces with their peers and new teachers, and our entire student group approaching their learning with rigour and intent. Our Family Food and Fun Night, Year 6 Camp and House Athletics Days were just some of the term highlights.

Term 2 promises to provide further opportunities to come together as a school community. We are looking forward to our traditional ANZAC Assembly on Friday 28th April where Grandparents and Special Friends join the students in class. Kath Bowtell and Ellen Evans have kindly offered to make the scones for our scrumptious morning tea. We will also continue preparing for our 150th Celebration.

ANZAC DAY MARCH AND SERVICE – TUESDAY 25th APRIL

Students are invited to join Mrs Whitworth, Mrs Pandza and our School Captains for the Rosebud RSL ANZAC Day Service. 

Please meet at the corner of Point Nepean Road and Ninth Avenue, Rosebud at 9.30am. Our school group will march to the Cenotaph for the official service and wreath laying.

Students should be in full school uniform.

SURFACE GO 2 DONATION – THANK YOU

A special thank you to Ian Doherty from Learning With Technologies for his kind donation of 5 Surface Go devices. These will be a fantastic learning tool for our students and we are extremely appreciative.

Year 2 – Inquiry Showcase

The Year 2 students showcased their Inquiry learning from Term 1. They spread their own messages of kindness, respect, empathy and determination. They come up with their own catchy slogans, which they planned, designed and then transferred onto white t-shirts.  Well done Year 2!
