Boneo Buzz: 26th August

 Dear Parents and Carers,

It was wonderful to have so many parents and friends join us this morning for Share the Joy of Learning through Mathematics.

Joy matters in education and our staff are always planning for ways to truly engage our young people. Open ended math games are just one of the ways we challenge and engage our students. Brain research shows us that when fun stops, learning often stops, too. Students can become bored and anxious. When engagement decreases real and concrete learning can also decrease. This is not what we want for our students so we trust that you also enjoyed the opportunity this morning to have fun with Math.

Drop off and pick up

A huge thank you to our parents and carers who continue to follow the drop off and pick up guidelines set out by Vic Roads and the Shire to ensure the children are as safe as possible. I need to reiterate the following to ensure our community is safe:

Please:

• do not double park and drop off students at the tennis court car park.
• remember that in the morning and afternoon when entering from Boneo road beside the tennis court, it is one-way traffic only so exit onto Limestone road.
• only use the allocated parking bays and do not create additional parking by double parking.
• do not park in the bus zone on Limestone road at the end of the day.

Call out for Father’s Day Stall Helpers

Volunteer helpers are needed to sell at the Father’s Day stall on Wednesday 31^st August from 8:45 to 1.15pm. What ever time you have available will be much appreciated.

Oaks Day Fundraising Event

We are thrilled to confirm, following a two year break, our Oaks Day Event is returning in 2022.

This is a fabulous event, connecting over 150 members of our extended community and a major fundraiser for our school.

We are calling on volunteers to assist with this event. If you are interested, we are planning our first meeting on Thursday 1st October at 9am in the Staffroom.
