Dear Parents and Carers,

We are thrilled to remind you about our upcoming 150th Anniversary celebration, which will be held on Tuesday at 5pm. This event promises to be a memorable evening filled with fun, food, and festivities for the whole family and the extended community.
Food Vans:
To satisfy your taste buds, we have arranged for a fantastic selection of food vans. You and your family can indulge in delicious options such as pizza, fish and chips, twisty potato, and Mexican cuisine. Additionally, there will be an ice cream van for the children to enjoy sweet treats.
Opening Service and Performances:
The evening will commence with an opening service on the basketball court. Our talented choir and band will showcase their musical abilities, setting a celebratory tone for the event. We kindly request that all children be in their school uniforms for this special occasion.
Tour Through the Eras:
As part of our 150th Anniversary celebration, families will have the opportunity to embark on a unique journey through time. You can choose your own tour through different eras and explore the rich history of our school. To enhance this experience, each family will receive a commemorative passport, guiding you through the various rooms and exhibitions.
Mystery Questions and STEM Hacker Space:
In each room, our students from every year level have prepared intriguing mystery questions for families to solve. This interactive component adds an element of excitement and engagement to the historical tour. When you complete your passport, staff will direct you to collect a commemorative pin for each student along with a special birthday gift.
Additionally, our STEM Hacker space will feature augmented reality with Mindflight 7, offering a glimpse into the future of technology and learning.
Closing Ceremony and Performances:
At 7:30 pm, we will conclude the evening with a closing ceremony, where you can enjoy final performances from our talented students, along with the ceremonial cutting of our 150th birthday cake. This will be a fantastic way to wrap up the celebration and leave with lasting memories.
We highly encourage all families and community members to attend this special event and celebrate our school’s remarkable 150-year journey. It is a testament to the enduring spirit of our community and the dedication of our students, staff, and parents.

Curriculum Days
Following our School Council meeting, these dates have been secured for Curriculum Days – Tuesday 13th June and Monday 6th November. 

Boneo Tennis Competition

Last term, we held a Tennis competition for students in Year 3 – 6.

The girls results were; Aaliyah 1st, Raphaela 2nd, Ivy 3rd and Ellie 4th.

In the boys competition, Lachlan 1st, Harry 2nd, Bodhi 3rd and Harrison 4th.

Thank you to Mr Greening for organising this tournament and to the House Captains for helping run the competition.
