Boneo Buzz: 18th August

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am so proud to announce that our Year 6 team won the Mathematics Association of Victoria and Department of Education Challenge and Enrichment Games Day. We were so proud of the 13 Year 5 and 6 students who attended this event. Even more note worthy is the fact that the teachers were inundated with students who wanted to attend. We love Mathematics at Boneo.

To support our busy parents, we have decided to combine the Share the Joy of Reading with an opportunity to celebrate Father’s Special Person Day on Friday 1st September. The children will enjoy an opportunity to spoil dads or a special visitor at 9am. The Father’s Special Person stall is on Thursday 31st August.

REMINDER

This coming week is Book Week. Our Book Fair will be operating after school in the Library each day and we look forward to Wednesday’s Book Week Dress-up Parade on the basketball court at 9am. Parents are welcome. Andrea Rowe will deliver sessions throughout the day to launch her new book.

Year 6 Market Day

This term Year 6 have been busy learning about business and economics. We have designed and created some awesome handmade products to sell at our Year 6 Market, and all students from Prep to Year 5 are invited to come shopping.

The market is on Monday 4th September and students can bring up to $10. Our items will cost between $1.00-$4.00. Items include candles, bracelets, badges, bags, basketball cards, infinity toys, cat teasers and many more!

Get ready for the best Year 6 market you will ever experience!
