Boneo Buzz: 17th May

Dear Boneo Primary School Community,

As I write this final newsletter as your Principal, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude and pride. After 40 years in education, the last 6 years at Boneo Primary School have truly been the pinnacle of my career. It has been an incredible journey, and I am honoured to have spent these years with such a wonderful community.

The joy and enthusiasm of our students has brought immense happiness to my days. Watching them grow, learn, and thrive has been a source of constant inspiration. Their laughter and curiosity has reminded me daily of the importance and impact of our work.

Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones. Our school facilities have seen significant improvements, creating an environment where students can learn and play safely and joyfully. We have worked tirelessly to engage our students, fostering a love for learning that will carry them forward in life. Our dedicated staff, who consistently go above and beyond, have been pivotal in realising our shared vision. Their unwavering commitment to providing the best for our children is truly commendable.

Today is a bittersweet moment for me. While I am excited to embark on new adventures exploring Australia in our caravan and relocating to Peregian Beach on the Sunshine Coast in late January, I will hold fond memories of Boneo Primary School in my heart. This community has been more than just a workplace; it has been my family. The support, collaboration, and shared passion for education have made my tenure here incredibly fulfilling.

Thank you for your unwavering support over the years. It has been a privilege to serve as your Principal, and I am immensely proud of all that we have accomplished together. Boneo Primary School will always hold a special place in my heart, and I look forward to hearing about its continued success in the years to come.

With heartfelt gratitude and warmest wishes,

Mandy

Snapshot of Learning

Year 5 Sovereign Hill Big Day Out

Year 2

In Year 2, students have been learning about positioning, directions and maps. The students were given the task to create an obstacle course for our robot to complete without crashing. They had to draw a map of their obstacle course and program their robot to get through the course safely. The Year 2 students had so much fun working collaboratively with their friends!
